Yesterday, Oakley Police Department officers rushed to the scene after reports of multiple gunshots were received. The disturbance was pinpointed to the 1300 block of Yosemite Circle.
Upon their arrival, officers found evidence of the shooting in the form of 9mm shell casings littering the street. The discovery confirms the reports of gunfire heard around 2:42 AM. However, despite the seriousness of the incident, no injuries were reported. The Oakley Police Department is digging into the case, which remains an open and very active investigation, as no suspects have been named, and the motives behind the shooting are still to be unveiled.
