Tragedy struck last night in Fallowfield Township, Washington County, as a head-on collision claimed the life of one individual and left five others injured. The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. along Old Rt. 71, in proximity to the Mon-Fayette Expressway. As reported by WTAE, a vehicle was said to have crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

The Washington County Coroner's Office confirmed that the passenger killed in the mishap was traveling in the eastbound vehicle and was unfortunately not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Their identity has yet to be disclosed, pending family notification. Following the crash, four individuals were urgently airlifted, and one more was to be transported by ambulance to local hospitals quickly.
