A fatal incident has disrupted the flow of traffic along Loop 202 in Mesa, following a collision which claimed the life of one individual last night. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has confirmed that the accident, which involved two vehicles and a motorcycle, occurred on the eastbound side of Loop 202 near Mesa Drive, although details surrounding the cause of the crash have not been released, as reported FOX 10 Phoenix.
The aftermath of the crash led to the closure of the eastbound lanes near Center Street which the authorities have since reopened, AZ Family noted.
The westbound lanes, however, were not affected by this incident and remained open for travel the traffic, meanwhile, suffered due to the lengthy delays from the crash site back to the Loop 101 junction according to FOX 10 Phoenix. AZ511 traffic cameras captured the congestion, documenting a stretch of nearly four miles of traffic backlog.
