Among the steps announced, Governor Kotek has mandated a full-scale data integrity review, calling for a panel of external data experts to oversee the process. “Any error that undermines our voting system must be taken incredibly seriously and addressed,” Governor Kotek said, as stated by the State of Oregon. Additionally, the Oregon Department of Administrative Services is tasked with identifying an independent, external third-party vendor to perform an external audit, the scope of which will be determined by the selected vendor.
