Outdoor enthusiasts and walkers in Peachtree City will need to take a detour for now. The Public Works Department has closed part of Path 1556 near Kedron Dr and Fallside Ct for emergency tree removal. An alternate route is available, and the city asks for residents' patience during this time. For questions, residents can call (770) 487-5183, according to the Peachtree City website.
Along with the path closure, the walking trail bridges at Line Creek Nature Area will be out of service for a while. This is part of a larger effort to repair and maintain the infrastructure for the safety of all users. The city emphasizes the importance of these repairs for long-term accessibility and encourages the public to use alternate trails during this time.
Understanding the disruption this may cause to daily routes and recreational activities, the city promises to keep the public updated on the repair progress. Announcements will be shared through social media and The Slice, the city's weekly newsletter. Residents seeking more information or with specific concerns can contact the Recreation and Special Events Department at (770) 631-2525.
