Early Tuesday morning, a pedestrian was hit and killed in south St. Louis County. The St. Louis County Police Department responded to the incident around 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Tesson Ferry Road and Kempf Drive, near the South County YMCA, according to 5 On Your Side. The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.
This fatal event marks the third in a series of deadly pedestrian incidents in the St. Louis area since the weekend. A man and his dog were killed in Florissant on Saturday, followed by another hit-and-run fatality on Monday in St. Louis City. FOX 2 Now reports that an arrest has been made in the Florissant case, while the driver in Monday's incident is still at large.
