A tragic incident unfolded in Pigeon Forge over the weekend, where a pedestrian lost his life after being struck not once, but twice by separate vehicles. The Pigeon Forge Police Department reported to the scene of the accident on Veterans Boulevard, just south of Teaster Lane, at approximately 8:10 p.m. last Saturday, as confirmed by WVLT.
The victim, identified, as 29-year-old Victor Perez was attempting to cross Veterans Boulevard when the unfortunate events unfolded. Despite efforts after the accident, Perez was pronounced dead at the scene, Police Chief Richard Catlett detailed in statements provided to multiple outlets, including WATE and WBIR.
According to authorities, both drivers involved in this incident remained at the site following the crash. In light of the ongoing investigation, the Pigeon Forge police department has not released additional details. This particular stretch of road southwest of Dollywood has now witnessed its third fatal crash of the year, following previous incidents in April and August, as noted by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
