Pittsburgh's own rapper, Wiz Khalifa, has put his home in the Pittsburgh area on the market for $1.3 million. The Washington County property, spanning nearly three acres, is located at 30 Virginia Lane in Canonsburg and was reported by CBS News Pittsburgh.
The home, which Khalifa purchased back in 2012 for $900,000, boasts five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, and a separate guest house that includes another full bathroom. Notable features include floor-to-ceiling windows, radiant heat floors, and expansive patio space with views of greenery. True to the rapper's style, a marijuana leaf decorates the fireplace, a nod to his involvement in the medical marijuana industry. The listing of the property was handled by Realtor Dustin Hook of RE/MAX Select Realty, according to Pittsburgh Magazine.
There has been no official word as to why Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, is selling the house or if he intends to purchase another in the area. The artist, who recently welcomed a baby girl with girlfriend Aimee Aguilar, has strong ties to Pittsburgh. He grew up and attended high school there. Khalifa has returned to the city for various engagements, including launching his medical marijuana brand in Pennsylvania last year.
The listing agent, Hook, publicized the property with an inventive approach, incorporating Khalifa's hit song "Black and Yellow" into his marketing efforts on Instagram. The home, which spans 4,400 square feet, is part of the Canon-McMillan School District and offers unique design elements like Brazilian Koa hardwood floors and a gourmet kitchen. Realtor.com estimates that the mortgage would be $8,414 per month with current interest rates.
