These teams are comprised of dedicated individuals from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue, Murfreesboro Police Department, La Vergne Fire and Rescue, and Rutherford County Fire and Rescue.
On Monday night, these responders began to converge and prepare to swiftly depart for the affected areas from the Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency building, with deployment times reported by WSMV to be around 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Seemingly, the situation is pressing with eight "weather-related" deaths confirmed by the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), a figure that is feared to rise, as more than 100 people are still reported missing.
Answering the call for support, these teams have included a diverse group of first responders. Specifically, the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department sent five personnel, highlighted as part of an intensive collective effort to provide essential rescue services in the disastrous aftermath. The Murfreesboro Police Department also contributed one member to the All Hazards Management Team, as reported last Friday.
Further emphasizing the concerted response from Rutherford County, Rutherford County Source details the deployment of the La Vergne Fire and Rescue members Battalion Chief Patrick Hood, Lieutenant John Partridge, Lieutenant Micah Meshotto, and Firefighter Tyler McCormick. Battling to ensure that relief and recovery can swiftly reach those afflicted, Firefighters John Sympson, Ethan Mabe, Jake Libby, and Gage Dotson of the Rutherford County Fire and Rescue were also listed among the deployed.
