A San Marcos neighborhood is seeking solace and answers after the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Isaac Shekhayem. The incident, which occurred in the 900 block of Los Vallecitos Boulevard, took the teenager's life after he was shot in the upper torso and was later pronounced dead at Palomar Hospital. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the shooting unfolded late at night on May 15 when a vehicle unexpectedly stopped in a parking lot, and an individual opened fire on a group of people, with Shekhayem becoming the tragic victim.
Following the shooting, efforts to swiftly apprehend the suspect have culminated in the arrest of 19-year-old Adrian Francisco Ramirez. The San Diego Fugitive Task Force took Ramirez into custody at the San Ysidro Port of Entry on October 25. Ramirez was arrested for the murder of Isaac Shekhayem, and law enforcement officials reported him being booked on one count of PC 187(A), as was detailed in the affidavit filed in contemplation of the arrest.
