According to a social media post from Contra Costa Fire, firefighters responded to a single-alarm commercial structure fire at the 10-unit residence. While contained to the unit of origin, the blaze demanded immediate action from first responders, who successfully extinguished the fire.
In the aftermath, three individuals were pulled from the building, receiving immediate medical treatment on the scene. Tragically, through a statement from Con Fire PIO's social media update, it was confirmed that the fire claimed the life of a 22-year-old male. ConFire and the San Pablo Police Department conducted a thorough investigation on-site, working amidst the smoke-charred remains to determine the cause of the inferno.

According to ConFire and San Pablo Police, two minors involved in the incident are currently in critical condition after being transported for medical care.
