Authorities have been conducting a search operation along the Cuyahoga River in Tremont, Cleveland, as part of ongoing efforts to locate clues in the case of missing teenager Keshaun Williams. Cleveland19 says a dark Jeep was pulled from the river this morning. Divers have been going in and out of the water for several hours, with multiple law enforcement agencies present at the scene, including the U.S. Marshals, Cleveland police, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
Keshaun Williams has been missing since June 17, 2023, after attending a house party in Slavic Village. Standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall with black hair in braids and brown eyes, the 15-year-old was last seen wearing black jogging pants, a t-shirt, and red and gray Jordan sneakers. To gather potential leads, Cleveland Police have encouraged anyone with information to contact them at 216-623-5400 or via the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4-WANTED. Tips can also be submitted online at USMarshals.gov, as reported by Cleveland19.
As the quest to uncover what happened to Williams intensified, authorities executed a search for two submerged vehicles in the river. A car was retrieved, though its contents at the time remained undisclosed, with its top shrouded in netting. Officials are determined to locate a second vehicle. News5 Cleveland's coverage mentioned divers being lowered into the water by a tow truck in a search and recovery operation described by police as a "training exercise." All teams involved in the search were listed by News 5 Cleveland, including the SERT Dive Team, the Westshore Dive Team, and Rich’s Towing, amongst others. The river has been restricted for vessel traffic within the search area, as communicated by the ODNR to the police.
