The Alameda County Sheriff's Office issued an urgent call to the public for help locating two missing juveniles last Friday around 8:45 p.m. on the 50 Block of E. Lewelling Boulevard in San Lorenzo. Elvis Merino, a 15-year-old with black hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive birthmark on the right side of his face, was wearing a black suit, pink vest, and black shoes at the time of his disappearance. He is approximately 5'3" tall and weighs around 110 lbs.
Yesterday, in a social media post shared by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, the community was asked to be on the lookout for Elvis and to immediately call 9-1-1 if they have any information. The authorities believe that he may be accompanied by another missing child, Michelle Olivas, who was also reported missing under startlingly similar circumstances.
Michelle Olivas is also 15, with long, straight black hair and brown eyes. She is about 5'1" tall and weighs roughly 108 lbs. Last seen, Michelle was dressed in a pink dress, complemented by a black jacket and black shoes, and she was carrying a small pink backpack. The urgency to find both teenagers is palpable in the Alameda County community and beyond as family, friends, and authorities search for answers.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office's plea extends to anyone who may have seen Michelle since her disappearance, with the same directive to contact law enforcement or dial 9-1-1 immediately.
