
On Saturday, Seattle police officers swiftly responded to a call involving auto theft in South Seattle, culminating in the arrest of two individuals. The suspects, aged 27 and 28, were found allegedly attempting to make off with a classic 1959 Blue Ford Fairlane. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, officers arrived on the scene at 6:53 a.m. after being notified of two men pushing the stolen vehicle along the 4700 block of South Findlay Street.
The first suspect was apprehended without incident and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Meanwhile, the second was discovered hiding in a nearby backyard, where he ran from police to quickly initiate a foot chase. When officers approached him, he allegedly took a fighting stance and actively resisted arrest while being handcuffed. "This suspect was arrested for Obstructing a Public Officer, Resisting Arrest, and a felony warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle," detailed the police report.
The two suspects are now facing charges with bail set accordingly, and have been booked into King County Jail. Investigations are ongoing as detectives from the General Investigations Unit and the Homicide & Assault Unit have jointly been tasked to thoroughly examine this case. The police have not yet released the identities of the accused.
