In a developing story out of Cordova, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is currently investigating the death of a man found shot inside his car yesterday morning; the vehicle had ended its journey colliding with a fence, as reported by WREG. The patrol deputies received reports around 7:18 a.m. and discovered the man, identified as 50-year-old Jonathan Hurdle, pronounced deceased on the scene by Shelby County Fire paramedics.
Adding to the tapestry of incident details, Local Memphis revealed the location of the tragedy as the 9300 block of Macon Road, a quiet stretch that found itself echoing the graver sounds of sirens and investigative urgency, Macon Road has been closed from Berryhill Road to Big Orange due to continuing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Hurdle's death.
