At 7:45 p.m., Springfield Police Department officers arrived at the scene on the 1000 block of Worthington Street after being alerted by a 9-1-1 call. The infant, identified as a boy, required immediate medical attention and was swiftly taken to Baystate for evaluation. According to the Springfield Police Department, the baby is now in stable condition.
