
Last Friday night, a teenage boy's casual night of video gaming with acquaintances turned into a terrifying ordeal, as one of his guests pulled out a gun and robbed him. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. in an apartment on the 3700 block of Lindell. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the 18-year-old victim was coerced into surrendering his PlayStation 5 along with other valuables.
The police have released photos of the suspects, urging anyone with information to come forward. These individuals are considered to be armed and dangerous. The suspects, also made off with designer shoes, images of which have been shared by the authorities in an attempt to track down the stolen goods. The public can anonymously submit tips by calling CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477), according to a statement obtained by the SLMPD.
The victim was playing video games when the robbery unfolded, said the police report. What started as a regular gaming session ended in a life-altering event that underscores the volatile nature of inviting acquaintances into one's private space. The suspects went through the victim's belongings before fleeing with the high-value items.
