The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre has organized a "Daycation" to the Historic Homes of Hannibal, offering a mix of education and leisure without leaving the Show-Me State. On November 20, the tour will begin at the Dubach Inn Bed & Breakfast, a charming example of 1871 Italianate style with hints of Second Empire elegance, according to the City of St. Peters.
Participants will have the chance to explore Hannibal's elite with the Belvedere Inn opening its doors. Built in 1859, this Italianate mansion in the heart of Hannibal exudes the charm of the past and stories of its former high-profile residents. Don't forget to register by November 6 to secure a spot on this nostalgic journey, as stated by the City of St. Peters.
The Hannibal Country Club rolls out the red carpet, with a warm welcome from none other than Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher, characters brought to life by Mark Twain. After a midday break, the "Daycation" transports you to "A Shepherd's Tale," a performance where you're not just observing but immersing yourself in an ancient Judean scene, as mentioned by the City of St. Peters. This experience runs from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and costs $159, which includes all listed activities and transportation on the "Daycation" bus tour.
