Attention dog owners in Surprise, Arizona. The Surprise Community Dog Park will be closed for maintenance from October 7 to October 21, affecting both large and small dog areas. The park will reopen on October 22 at 6 a.m., according to the City of Surprise official website.
The city of Surprise is making improvements to the dog park, including better access from the tennis parking lot and leveling the ground for smoother play. They're also upgrading the irrigation system to keep the grass healthier, ensuring a better experience for your dogs in the long run.
While the Surprise Dog Park is closed, you can take your dog to Dick McComb Dog Park at 17894 W. Westpark Blvd. Just remember, it’s closed for maintenance every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so plan your visits accordingly.
For more details or to plan your park visits, contact Parks & Recreation at 623.222.2000 or visit surpriseaz.gov/Parks. The temporary closure of the Surprise Community Dog Park will soon lead to better play areas, and your pups will be back to wagging their tails in no time.
