Months passed, and the wheels of justice turned slowly, seemingly mired in the mud of leads gone cold and witnesses' memories fading, but on October 6, per information from the Metropolitan Police Department, Abdur-Rashid el Mwamba found himself gripped by the long arm of the law. The Northeast resident, 55, was not free to roam indefinitely as a DC Superior Court warrant was issued, and resulting police work led to his apprehension. Mwamba who was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), faces the severe repercussions of his alleged actions.
