
Gwinnett County was shaken by violence when a young mother of four was killed in an apartment complex early Monday morning. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred before 7:30 a.m. on the 1100 block of Gwinnett Station Circle in unincorporated Tucker, where 24-year-old Marianne Guillen was found shot at least once. Gwinnett County police Corporal Juan Madiedo described the event as an isolated incident involving the victim and the suspect.
As per a WSB-TV report, the next day, police arrested 26-year-old Aaron Guillen, the suspect, in Newton County after he had been on the run. Family members identified the victim as Mariana Vilchez. According to her father, she was reportedly preparing to leave her partner due to domestic violence, as shared in a conversation with WSB-TV's Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Matt Johnson.
Aaron Guillen has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently being held in the Newton County Jail, awaiting extradition to Gwinnett County. The nature of the relationship between Aaron and Marianne Guillen has not been disclosed by investigators, but they suspected that they had children together.
