Just before 1 a.m., a man was seen being taken into custody, and residents were later allowed to return to their homes.
The standoff began when a woman called the police to report that a man had forcibly entered her home and was making threats. Responding officers successfully rescued the woman, but the man barricaded himself inside and refused to surrender.
