Tragedy struck Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood on Friday night when a 16-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the incident took place just after 8 p.m. on the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrace. The young boy was standing with several people in an alley when an unidentified shooter fired shots, hitting him in the abdomen and back.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition, grappling with the injuries that now threaten to reshape his young life. As of yet, with the detectives from Area Three investigating the shooting, no suspects have been taken into custody, the ABC 7 Chicago reports.
Police are diligently sifting through evidence and calling for witnesses to come forward, hoping some light can be shed on who fired the shots that seriously wounded the teenager in the alley on West Juneway Terrace.
