According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene of a reported holdup around 7:30 p.m. inside an apartment building.

The incident unfolded while the 18-year-old man was engaged in the innocuous act of playing video games with several acquaintances. The casual gathering was abruptly interrupted, when, according to reports, one individual produced a firearm and declared an intent to rob the host. The culprits, three in number proceeded to rifle through the teenager's belongings, ultimately absconding with a valuable PlayStation 5 console.
