Early yesterday morning, a shooting in the 1900 block of N. 9th St. disrupted a large gathering and left three people injured. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, district officers responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m. yesterday after reports of gunfire emerged.
The officers discovered a 29-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. She was transported by EMS to a local hospital and, is listed in critical condition. Two others, a 26-year-old woman, and a 29-year-old man, were also shot and privately transported to area hospitals. Both are reportedly in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation suggests the incident followed an unclear argument among attendees of the gathering, leading to shots being fired within the crowd. The nature of the dispute and the identities of the individuals involved in the shooting have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
As the investigation continues, the St. Louis PD has not released any information regarding potential suspects, or if any arrests have been made.
