On Wednesday, officers responded to a dispute downtown that reached a dangerous peak when a suspect reportedly brandished a handgun at another individual. According to the Tiburon Police Department's Instagram account, the suspect had his 14-year-old daughter in the car during the confrontation.
Descending rapidly on the scene, Tiburon police, working hand-in-hand with the Mill Valley Police Department and the Marin County Sheriff's Office, located the suspect's vehicle. The daughter, found in the company of her armed father, was swiftly and fortunately unharmed. She was placed with Children and Family Services and had no relatives in the vicinity.
A subsequent investigation by the authorities revealed a 9mm handgun in the vehicle and a replica AR-15 BB gun in the trunk – both are reported to be stolen. The suspect is now being held at Marin County Jail, facing serious charges, including multiple weapons violations, criminal threats, and child endangerment.
