
Over the weekend, a devastating incident unfolded in Clackamas County near Wilsonville. In the early hours of Saturday morning, the tranquility of SW Advance Road was shattered by a single-vehicle accident that claimed the life of a young resident.
According to a report from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of SW Advance Rd following reports of a serious traffic collision. At the scene, they discovered a Ford F-250 pickup truck that had veered off the road, breached through a fence, and rolled down an embankment. The time of the incident was approximately 5:40 a.m.
The driver of the pickup, identified as 20-year-old Kohl William Kaiser from Wilsonville, did not survive the crash. Details on the fatality were sparse as the investigation proceeded. Meanwhile, two passengers found within the wreckage were transported to a local hospital, their injuries severe but not life-threatening.
An investigation into the accident's cause is underway, spearheaded by the Sheriff’s Office inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) team.
