
Las Vegas saw another episode of violence this past Friday when a man was reportedly shot in a robbery over narcotics and subsequently died from his injuries. The incident took place in the east valley, near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard according to 8 News Now. Responding to the shooting were Metro police officers, around 4:20 p.m., they found the man by a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation quickly led to the arrest of two teenagers. Serge Kamga, 19, and a 16-year-old whose name has been withheld due to his minor status were both taken into custody. In connection with the fatal incident, they are both facing open murder charges. According to a press release obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the shooting appeared to have happened during a robbery that involved narcotics.
Kamga was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, while the 16-year-old was placed in the Clark County Juvenile Hall. The victim's identification awaits release pending notification of their next of kin.
