
Today, Vallejo authorities responded to a fatal shooting on Daniels Avenue. A man was found deceased from a gunshot wound at approximately 1:39 A.M., according to the Vallejo Police Department (VPD). Upon arrival on the scene, officers discovered the victim lying on the roadway. The investigation has been handed over to the Detective Division as they work to uncover the motive and circumstances leading to his death.
VPD is keeping the victim's identity confidential at the moment, pending the notification of next of kin by the Solano County Coroner's Office. The incident, taking the tally up to 19, marks yet another homicide in a city grappling with the weight of violent crime in 2024. Detectives, including Detective William Carpenter and Bradley Phillips, are actively pursuing leads and have asked for public assistance to further their investigation.
