The punk rock and alternative music scene is set to relive its heyday as the Vans Warped Tour gears up for a monumental return in 2025, commemorating 30 years of musical mayhem. According to an announcement, the festival is slated for a comeback with a trio of two-day events in Washington, D.C., Long Beach, CA, and Orlando, FL – confirming what many Warped loyalists have hoped for since the tour's final cross-country curtain call six years ago.
In a statement detailed by FOX 35 Orlando, Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman expressed that the revival transcends a simple trip down memory lane, "People are craving connection, live music, and the raw, unfiltered experience that Warped has always offered," Lyman said, "This return isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about giving a new generation the chance to feel that same sense of belonging and freedom that Warped has always championed." The declaration is marked by an alliance with Insomniac, the event company known for orchestrating some of the world's largest live music festivals.
The festival, renowned for its diversity in sound and culture, aims to host between 70 and 100 bands per event. These groups will span a vast gamut of genres that have come to define the Warped Tour experience over the decades, including rock, punk rock, alternative, pop-punk, and emo. While the full lineup remains under wraps, fans can anticipate a blend of classic Warped Tour figureheads and budding artists hitting the stages in 2025.
Details from Gotta Go Orlando reveal that tickets for the historic event will go on pre-sale on October 24, with full weekend passes priced at $149.98, including fees. An unexpected partnership between Lyman and Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella presents fans with what promises to be a memorable festival experience. "It's very exciting to partner with Kevin to bring Warped Tour back. He’s built an incredible legacy that celebrates the heart of live music and we’re energized to create a rad festival that honors the spirit of Warped Tour," Rotella stated.
