With the presidential election just around the corner, Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are slated to make a campaign stop in Phoenix this Thursday ahead of the November vote; the duo are headlining the "When We Vote We Win" rally in an effort to drum up support and voter turnout.
According to ABC15, the event will see the Democratic ticket joined by the renowned Mexican music group Los Tigres Del Norte, an act with a strong pull in the Latinx community, and as the campaign noted, "These artists and public figures are trusted voices for millions of Americans, who listen to their music, follow them on social media, or otherwise are inspired by them." The campaign expressed confidence that leveraging such voices to emphasize the election's significance will spur increased turnout.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump plans to seize the day as well, holding court in the Valley with a special appearance at a live tour event alongside Tucker Carlson at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, with tickets being openly available on Carlson’s website.
Details regarding the Phoenix rally remained close at hand, but 12News reported that Harris and Walz’s return to the Valley is part of a larger effort unfolding across several battleground states, where musical acts like Los Tigres del Norte have been pegged to perform tying culture to politics in a concerted push to mobilize voters ahead of the critical election day.
