An extensive traffic signal outage in downtown Portland is disrupting the flow of vehicles and public transportation this morning. According to KOIN, the outage has affected cars, TriMet buses, and MAX trains. TriMet spokesperson Tyler Graf advised that "all intersections with dark signals should be treated as four-way stops."

"MAX blue and red line trains are experiencing some delays and MAX green, orange and yellow lines are disrupted," Graf told KOIN. To assist travelers, TriMet has implemented shuttle buses to move riders around the affected areas. Commuters relying on public transport can expect to make their way through downtown today slowly.

Furthermore, as KGW reported, TriMet buses are also caught amid signal outages, with slower travel times on Southwest 5th and 6th Avenues. "That will affect travel times as well and may impact service outside of downtown," a statement from TriMet highlighted.
