
A tragic incident occurred on Lone Tree Way near Canada Valley Road in Antioch last night when a 53-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision at approximately 8:25 PM, as confirmed by the Antioch Police Department. The victim was found unresponsive and received first aid from officers until paramedics arrived. She was then rushed to a hospital, facing life-threatening injuries.
Following the incident, the traffic accident investigators have taken charge of the case. However, the identity of the suspect who fled from the scene remains unknown. Antioch Police have not released information on the parties involved as the investigation is in its early stages, and the inquiry into what precipitated this unfortunate event is still unfolding.
