A woman was tragically killed in a shooting that shook the Medical District in Memphis early Friday morning. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Court Avenue, Memphis Police Department officers arrived at a grim scene where they discovered a woman fatally wounded by gunfire. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. In connection to the incident, a man was detained and subsequently taken to Methodist University Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, WREG reports.
