In a routine crackdown on illegal substances and unpermitted weapons, the Worcester Police Department's Vice Squad made a decisive intervention yesterday, where they arrested 44-year-old Christian Andino-Morales. Acting on a tip, law enforcement officers surveilled and subsequently stopped Andino-Morales's Honda Pilot near a Park Ave Walgreens at approximately 8 PM. Inside the vehicle, they uncovered a stash of firearms and narcotics, as reported by the Worcester Police Department.
The officers on scene discovered what they confirmed to be two loaded handguns. Andino-Morales, who does not possess a firearms license, was also found with quantities of what is believed to be fentanyl and crack cocaine. A bag of what seemed to be a Class A substance and a Class B substance was intended for distribution, according to the charges.
Following these findings, Mr. Andino-Morales was placed under arrest and charged on several counts. The Worcester Police Department's report detailed the charges: 2 counts of Carrying a Firearm without a License, 2 counts of Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, 2 counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute.
