Members of the Worcester Police Department's Vice Squad conducted an operation that led to the arrest of three individuals on charges of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl. The arrests, which took place yesterday, October 14, stemmed from the execution of a search warrant at an address on Perry Avenue.

According to a statement obtained by the Worcester Police Department, Elvin Delacruz, age thirty-eight, was the target of the search warrant. He was apprehended without incident after leaving the residence and driving away. The Vice Squad went on to swiftly execute the warrant at the Perry Avenue location where two other males were discovered.

The presence of 112 grams of fentanyl and 157 grams of cocaine led to the arrest of thirty-six-year-old Erick Urbaez and thirty-one-year-old Jean Rosario, who were found inside the residence. In addition to the drugs, officers also seized drug paraphernalia and cash. The discovery of these illicit substances and items underscores the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the area.

As a result of the operation, all three males are facing charges for trafficking both a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) and a Class B Substance (Cocaine). Specifically, they are all charged with "Trafficking a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) 100-100 grams and Trafficking a Class B Substance (Cocaine) 100-199 grams," as noted in the police press release. This incident highlights the Worcester Police Department's efforts to appropriately address and eventually halt the flow of illegal narcotics in the community.
