A teenage girl has been taken into custody in connection to a stabbing which took place Monday in the Roxhill neighborhood of West Seattle. The incident was reported to 911 dispatch just before 1:30 p.m. at the 2900 block of Southwest Cambridge Street, where officers discovered a 17-year-old girl suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was found having stab wounds in areas including the abdomen, back, and arm. As soon as the officers provided initial aid, the Seattle Fire Department took over and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center. According to the Seattle Police Department, her injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators are suggesting an altercation between the victim and the suspect, a 16-year-old female, preceded the stabbing. Police were able to locate the alleged assailant who was apprehended without further incidents.

The young suspect was subsequently booked into Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center, facing a charge of Assault in the First Degree. The teen's name was not immediately released due to her minor status.
