A tragic accident on an Oregon highway claimed the life of a young man earlier this week. According to official reports, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Justus Wilson Jackson, 19, from Beaverton, lost control of his vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, and collided with a tree off Hwy 230 near milepost 14 in Douglas County.
The incident occurred at 3:05 p.m., when, for reasons still under investigation, Jackson's southbound vehicle veered off the road. The impact of the crash resulted in his being ejected from the car. Emergency response teams, which included the Oregon State Police and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, as well as ODOT, arrived at the scene to find Jackson had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.
