Alameda saw some swift action from its police force over the weekend after officers rushed to the scene of an armed robbery on Poggi Street. In a post shared by the Alameda Police Department via their official Facebook page, residents were informed of the ongoing investigation that not only led to the arrest of three individuals but also saw the seizure of an illegal firearm.
Police officers, acting on a tip about a possible hideout, quickly secured the area, apprehending suspects and uncovering a ghost gun and ammunition during the investigation. The suspects, linked to prior robberies, now face charges for robbery and possession of an undetectable firearm, with outstanding warrants also revealed.
The operation spotlighted K9 Primo, a new addition to the force, who was crucial in locating the firearm. This successful intervention marked K9 Primo’s first major contribution, showcasing the department's investment in skilled police animals.
