The Salvation Army is also contributing, opening its food pantry for those in need at 802 Quari Ct. in Aurora, Monday to Thursday, with a timeframe accommodating both morning and afternoon visitors. In a bid to widen its net of aid, the county's health program is lauding these efforts and making residents aware that these resources exist for them.
For those unable to physically visit these locations, technological solutions are bridging the gap. The Plentiful app, mentioned in the county's announcement, is connecting people to food pantries with a few clicks on their website. Similarly, Hunger Free Colorado is offering assistance that can be reached online or over the phone at 855-855-4626, ensuring that families have one less worry during the holiday season.
