An Arizona man has been taken into custody after he was accused of making death threats against President-elect Donald Trump and his family. As detailed in a FOX 10 Phoenix report, Manuel Tamayo-Torres allegedly posted daily videos online, where he leveled serious accusations against Trump and verbalized threats. In one such instance, these threats were reportedly filmed at a Trump rally in Glendale, Arizona last August. Additional charges against Tamayo-Torres include false statements made on a weapon purchase application, following a previous prison term.

Meanwhile, a spate of bomb threats have been directed at several of Donald Trump’s cabinet picks, with the FBI acknowledging "numerous bomb threats" and also "swatting incidents", designed to draw heavy law enforcement response to the targeted homes. As reported by BBC News, these threats have unsettled the team members chosen for leadership roles across various departments, including Defence, Housing, Agriculture, and Labor, in addition to Trump's nominee for US ambassador to the United Nations.

Trump's Defense Secretary nominee, Pete Hegseth, also confirmed a threat to his home, revealing to BBC News that he received "a credible pipe bomb threat" while his family slept. Hegseth was steadfast in his resolve, echoing the sentiments that threats would not deter him from his commitment to serve under President Trump. The FBI and local law enforcement, quick to respond, have not publicized the names of other targets, perhaps to mitigate the risk of subsequent imitation threats.
