
The City of Atlanta is opening two warming centers starting on Friday at 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on December 2. These centers will provide warmth and shelter for those in need during the cold weather, according to the City of Atlanta.
Fulton County has set up two warming centers to help people during the cold winter months. These centers are located at the Central Park Recreation Center at 400 Merritts Ave. NE and the Old Adamsville Recreation Center at 3404 Delmar Ln NW. Free transportation is available, with buses leaving the Gateway Center at 8:00 p.m. each evening to take people to the centers. The buses return in the morning after the centers close, as reported by the City of Atlanta.
