Residents of Atlanta should prepare for a slight change in their Thanksgiving week routine. The City of Atlanta has announced that due to the holiday, there will be no collection of garbage, recycling, yard trimmings, or bulk items today. Following the festive pause, services will play catch-up, meaning that today's usual pick-ups are pushed to tomorrow and tomorrow's are moved to Saturday.
Residents are advised to have their waste ready for collection by 7 a.m. on Saturday, as the usual collection for tomorrow will be postponed. Routine collection will resume on Monday next week.
For assistance during this temporary change, city residents can call 3-1-1, while others can reach the City of Atlanta at 404-546-0311. Additionally, residents can use the Atlanta Solid Waste Services app or visit the website to check schedules and stay updated on the changes.
