Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) arrested Jesus Alberto Pereira Castillo on November 19, 2024, for an alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, reported JCSO's official release. The arrest came after an investigation that began when deputies responded to a call on August 29, 2024, at a south Jefferson County residence owned by Castillo's employer, where he was staying temporarily.
In a troubling incident that took place at approximately 10:30 p.m., Castillo is accused of sexually assaulting the homeowner's 14-year-old daughter. Leaving the scene before the deputies could arrive, Castillo was absent for several weeks as authorities scoured for his whereabouts. While staying in the basement of the home, the daughter, who forced himself on her, was violated by Castillo.
The multi-week investigation came to a head when JCSO investigators located Castillo in Aurora, CO. His capture was executed without incident and he is now detained at the Jefferson County Detention Facility. According to the JCSO announcement, Castillo is facing charges related to the August incident and is scheduled to make his initial court appearance today, November 20, 2024.
The full details of the case are expected to unfold as the court proceedings get underway.
