The Boston Police Department's District A-1 Community Interaction Team and Street Outreach Unit worked together to provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need. They helped prepare and distribute the meals at St. Anthony’s Shrine, according to the Boston Police Department.
The collaboration to assemble the meals, just before the holiday, showed the Boston Police Department's involvement in the community beyond their regular duties. Officers who donated their time worked together as a team. At the shrine, each officer wore their badge and also contributed as a community member.
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect, be grateful, and give back. The officers helped by providing meals to those in need, offering support and showing kindness to their community. "Happy Thanksgiving!" ended the Boston Police Department's announcement, spreading a positive message.
