Trick-or-treating and Halloween festivities brought the Boston Police Department's District A-7 officers to mingle with the local community during a celebratory event at the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston. The recent get-together saw BPD officers going beyond the call of duty to genuinely connect with the neighborhood in a spooktacular evening filled with creatively decked-out vehicles and costumed fun.
According to a post on the official Boston Police Department website, the festivities featured an impressive 'Trunk or Treat' that stood out as the main highlight. It allowed the officers to directly engage with local children and their families to quickly build rapport. "Our team brought their “A Game” to the Trunk or Treat," the report boasted, highlighting the effort put into each creatively decorated law enforcement vehicle.
