A tragic event unfolded in the Bronx yesterday, marking another moment of violence in Mott Haven. According to police sources, a 35-year-old man was discovered fatally stabbed inside a building located on Grand Concourse near Anthony J Griffin Place. The NY Daily News identified the man as Kadeem Grant, and reported that emergency services were called to the scene at around 2:23 p.m.
Upon arriving, law enforcement found Grant with a chest wound, and despite the rapid response, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending medics. A knife, presumably involved in the incident, was recovered by officers at the scene. Furthermore, a person of interest has been taken into custody, according to both NYPD statements and News 12 coverage, indicating that while the investigation is still unfolding, initial efforts to unravel this crime have already been made.
As of now, the motivation and circumstances surrounding this stabbing remain unclear. Law enforcement officials have launched a full investigation to not only to understand the sequence of events that led to Grant's death but also to bring justice to those involved.
