
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is seeking community assistance in the search for 14-year-old Elaina Vira Schafer, a Fairview resident who is reported to have run away from her home on October 21. According to details released by the MCSO, Elaina left sometime after 12:20 a.m. without her cell phone, and there have been multiple sightings of her since then in areas including Gresham, Fairview, and Troutdale. The latest update places her in Troutdale on November 9.
As described by MCSO, Elaina Schafer is a white female with blue eyes and brown or black hair. Standing 5’8” tall and weighing roughly 130 pounds, she was last seen wearing a black hoodie, pants, and slippers. Her disappearance has spurred the sheriff's office to actively ask the public to help keep an eye out for Elaina, hopin that someone might quickly come forward with information that could lead to her safe return.
The specifics of Elaina's possible whereabouts have been rather sparse. Still, the alleged sightings across east Multnomah County have prompted law enforcement to broaden their engagement with the local community and stress the urgency of locating the teen.
