Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is currently seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the illegal taking of a buck mule deer near Sedalia, south of Denver. According to 9NEWS, an incident heard a gunshot around noon on Sunday and subsequently witnessed a man trespassing on private property situated near the junction of Highway 105 and Highway 67.

Not long after the suspect vacated the area, the witness discovered an abandoned deer carcass. The apprehension of the involved hunter is crucial as hunting on private land without the consent of the owners is a legal mandate. Trespassing for hunting can not only result in immediate revocation of a hunting license but, as KDVR reports, can also lead to a suspension of up to five years from obtaining a license again.

Further details shared by authorities describe the suspect's vehicle as a gray Chevrolet truck with an extended cab, potentially sporting out-of-state license plates. A distinctive sticker was observed on the back window on the driver's side of the truck, which also had a black toolbox featuring a red logo in the center. An aftermarket black front bumper might help to identify the vehicle, as noted by The Denver Gazette.
