A Dandridge man, identified as 38-year-old Ryan Woods, is facing multiple charges stemming from a child pornography investigation. As reported by WVLT, authorities carried out a search warrant at Woods's residence on Sockless Road, where he was taken into custody.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Woods has been hit with 48 counts of aggravated exploitation of a minor. This arrest followed an investigation by the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children, which revealed Woods's alleged involvement in child pornography. Alongside these charges, Woods is also facing allegations related to narcotics possession and theft, a detail that has been echoed across multiple reports, including coverage by WBIR.
The operation included members from the White Pine Police Department's Special Operations Response Team and additional support from the Jefferson City and Sevierville Police Departments. The collaborative effort resulted in seizing evidence from Woods's home, necessitating a deep dive into the digital shadows where such illicit activities often lurk. In light of the severity of the accusations, Woods's bond was accordingly set at $500,000.
